The Thang: Today PAX honored fallen Hero Corporal Albert Gettings, team leader Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division. Corporal Gettings passed away in 2006 from wounds sustained on patrol in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. To honor him, PAX attempted the following (only 2 were able to reach the 2nd set of Merkins) :
